The innate passion to design was born at the age of 11 years old when Bianca Miles, head designer of BIANCA LoREN created her first catalog J.A.B. Seeking formal teaching in her craft after a brief stint at the University of North Texas, Miles relocated from Luling, TX to Atlanta, GA in 2011 to embark upon the journey of becoming an astound Fashion Designer. After trying her hand in the bridal and evening wear field, Miles found her niche after making a custom-made bow tie dress for then co-worker Maranda Butler.
The positive reception of the bow-tie dress ignited the birth of the Bianca Loren brand. Butler a University of Georgia Southern graduate with a degree in Public Relations/Marketing, was drawn to Miles’ original designs and keen eye for fashion. Miles and Butler united their passion for fashion and public relations to cohesively form BIANCA LoREN in 2012.
BIANCA LoREN began to gain attention for their custom unisex ready-made bow ties and bows that incorporated a variety of embellishments such as chains, studs, and multi colored fabric and trims. They began working with a number of local clients creating custom garments, most notably Def Jam/ G.O.O.D Music recording artist Cyhi the Prynce furnishing a bow tie for his music video “Out All Night.”
It is designed for trendsetters that are innovative and daring, yet refined. This woman appreciates original quality products made from durable and luxurious fabrics such as suede, silk, velvet and leather. Transitioning from custom wear to a full-fledged clothing line BIANCA LoREN is in the process of designing their first official Spring 2014 line.
With nothing to lose but everything to prove, BIANCA LoREN is confident that they have the talent and drive to deliver cutting edge designs. Setting a new standard for the often overlooked southern fashion they are positioned to play amongst the fashion heavy hitters. Most people feel like fashion only exists in New York or LA, but Bianca Miles says, “Fashion transpires from your heart with no geographical limitations. The passion to create, to design, truly comes from within.” BIANCA LoREN seeks to create a new standard for fashion in Atlanta and abroad.
The ladies of BIANCA LoREN will be designing one piece for the RE2URRECTION show.
